The October 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was tragically hit by a live round of ammunition fired from a prop gun held by Alec Baldwin during a rehearsal on the set of the movie “Rust.” There were opening statements today marking the start of the trial of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who served as the film’s armorer. Now, she has pleaded not guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and also to tampering with evidence. Hutchins death is prompting questions as to how live ammunition could have possibly ended up on the movie set?
