STORY 2:  U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin made his first public appearance since he was hospitalized over complications of a procedure to treat prostate cancer.  He apologized for his lack of disclosure, and is now urging Americans particularly Black men to take care of their health
STORY 3: Michael “Killer Mike” Render was released on his own recognizance on Sunday night after being arrested following his win of three Grammy Awards during the pre-televised portion of the event. STORY 4: The African American Film Critics Association, has  announced a groundbreaking partnership with Delta Air Lines to curate a unique collection of films celebrating Black History Month.

STORY 1: The U.S. State Department issued a Level 3 travel advisory for Jamaica, urging Americans to exercise “increased caution” due to an increase in violent crimes.  According to the text, incidents such as home invasions, armed robberies, sexual assaults, and homicide are common in the country and sexual assaults are frequent, including at all-inclusive resorts. News Nation travel editor Peter Greenberg said “The good news is, in most cases, these crimes are not crimes committed or targeted at travelers or tourists. They’re gang versus gang crimes, much like we’ve seen in Mexico over the last 15 years. And the same applies to Jamaica.” Gotta be careful with ANY messaging coming from the U.S. What should be the travel advisories for people coming to America ? Be careful existing while Black.. Or gay… or non-Christian. DC and the Bay Don’t leave anything on your seats in Atlanta. Actually, if you can take the seat out of your car, do it.  American tourism has really ravaged our caribbean countries Jamaica’s can’t even use the beach. Hawaiians don’t want us there Just ‘cause we’re in the diaspora doesn’t mean you won’t get jacked. Travel SMART.

(21:48) – A MOMENT IN BLACK HOOD HISTORY
It is Black History Month, but in this segment, we’re taking a different approach than repeating the same BHM talking points. This is your “MOMENTS IN BLACK HOOD HISTORY,” a tribute to little known historical facts that originated in the HOOD. Kool Aid was invented by a white man in 1927, but it was the Black community that transformed Kool Aid FLAVORS into COLORS.  It was a summer day in the South. The Black mother standing inside the kitchen with a squeaky screen door, said to her Black child, “Go make me some Kool aid, to which the child replied, what kind?”  Black mother said– RED Koolaid, and the rest is history. The child instantly knew his mother’s desires. The words “cherry or strawberry” Kool Aid haven’t been uttered since. Thanks to Black people for the popularization of Kool Aid flavors!

BIG UP TO KEITH for leading by example and tipping, ‘cause some of us HATE TIPPING and will find any reason not to.
