MURDERED: The Murder Of Latasha Harlins

On March 16, 1991, 15 year old LaTasha Harlins was shot in the back of the head after a store owner accused her of stealing $1.76 orange juice.  She died with $2 for the orange juice in her hand. LaTasha’s murder and the miscarriage of justice that followed sent shockwaves throughout the Los Angeles area and would be part of the catalyst for the 1992 LA riots.
