Welcome to "Dear Young Queen," the podcast where we celebrate extraordinary women and their incredible journeys. In this episode, we sit down with Aisha Ali Parker, a talented photographer, soon-to-be mother, and a loyal friend hailing from Chicago.
During our conversation, Aisha opens up about her unique upbringing as a cop's kid, affectionately calling her mom "officer mom." We delve into the intriguing dynamics of growing up with a law enforcement parent, discussing how it proved both helpful and challenging. From navigating her way out of trouble to exploring the realities of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Aisha sheds light on her experiences, including a story of personal transformation following a DUI incident.
Pregnancy takes center stage as we dive into Aisha's journey to motherhood. Expecting a beautiful baby girl, she shares the raw realities of morning sickness that left her unable to even keep water down and enlightens us about the unexpected aspect of pregnancy: the vivid nightmares that caught her off guard. Our hearts melt as she reveals how this little one has already become the center of her universe, demonstrating a selfless love that transcends her own well-being.
Aisha's life took a remarkable turn when she met her loving husband, who played a pivotal role in guiding her career transition. Having spent years in the music and sports industries, she yearned for change but was initially hesitant to take a leap of faith into her creative pursuits. However, when the pandemic struck, Aisha embraced the opportunity to step behind the lens and officially embark on her photography journey.
Amidst these changes, Aisha also managed to have a dream wedding, relocate to Miami, and embark on the beautiful journey of motherhood.
Join us as we celebrate the resilience and growth of Aisha Ali Parker in this captivating episode of Dear Young Queen.
