Episode 518 | Hovchella podcast
“Seeing that pinhole of light at the end of the tunnel, that’s when I knew that there was hope.”
In today’s episode, I sat down with Yvonne Broady aka The Blooming Widow, a former New York City public school educator turned author. Yvonne lost her husband to pancreatic cancer in 2009 and her experience with grief, loss and healing inspired her to write Brave in a New World: A Guide to Grieving the Loss of a Spouse. The book is a guide for widows to assist them in navigating their grief journey. It also offers comfort, hope and assurance to the bereaved as they grieve and heal. She blogs about her grief journey and shares helpful advice for those who have lost a spouse. She is also the co-facilitator of a grief recovery group in New York City.
