To highlight the accomplishments of women and celebrate Women's History Month, we will be featuring work from female authors for the month of March. Tonight, we will be reading "Little Miss Sophie" written by Alice Dunbar Nelson.

Little Miss Sophie, set in New Orleans, Louisiana is a short story in a collection titled Violets and Other Tales. Miss Sophie is a woman who is struggling to make ends meet. After hearing that her previous husband is facing financial ruin, she decides to help him by returning a family heirloom ring.
