As much as Shaft is a beloved blaxploitation classic, Truck Turner is quite possibly equal if not better than it. Isaac Hayes is very enjoyable as the title character but its Nichelle Nichols who steals the movie. We’ve known her for years as Uhura in Star Trek and she was always a capable actress but you immediately gravitate to her cause of how great she does as a villain. The plot is simple but its really the characters and action the brings it all together perfectly. Definitely a must watch movie.
