How do you view adversity? Do you run away or embrace it?

In this episode, Analiza talks with Kim Ades, President and Founder, Frame of Mind Coaching and The Journal That Talks Back. Recognized as a pioneer in the field of leadership coaching and thought mastery, Kim uses her unique philosophy and quirky coaching style to help leaders identify their blind spots and learn to direct their thinking to achieve extraordinary results. Author, speaker, entrepreneur, coach, and mom of five, Kim shares how the difference between ordinary leaders and extraordinary leads is how they approach adversity.

After graduating from the University of Ottawa with her BA and MBA, Kim started her career as an entrepreneur. She started several companies, including a software company where her first husband led with her. Kim had a flourishing business and a family but unfortunately found herself with a painful divorce and selling the business. Kim spent the next years trying to find her identity and deep diving into professional development to learn more about the power of thoughts and how she would approach this adversity.

In Boss Mamas, we talk about the importance of Mastering Your Mindset. Kim shares how shifting her thinking was pivotal to shifting her life. She ended up remarrying and starting a new business helping leaders reach their goals through mastering their thoughts. Now life is better than ever!

In addition to her coaching business, Kim also just launched The Journal That Talks Back™, an affordable, accessible and unlimited journaling and coaching service that connects young professionals with a certified coach so they can manage their mental health, career aspirations, relationships, personal and professional challenges and more. One journals privately with their coach in our app, and their coach gives feedback, support and guidance. It’s literally a journal that talks back!
