Regardless, there is so much power to be held in a single word or phrase, more than we give them credit for. It is true that most people will forget what you said and instead remember how you made them feel but that is because of the words you used during that interaction that created that feeling. Words can have either a positive or negative lasting effect on someone and no matter what your intentions are at the time, after a word is spoken you’ll have to live with the fact that you said it.
