Where’s Waldo? – Finding God in the Thick of It

podcast August 31, 2023

Background

Your breakthrough is here. But first you must break through and feel Love.  You must focus on the Love, on (t)His Light. No matter what else you’re feeling, no matter what else you’re hearing, no matter what else you’re seeing, you have to feel this Love anyway. You have to find God. Like, where’s, Waldo? Every street, every restaurant, every seeming moment. Only you’re not looking for that striped shirt, you’re listening for The Feeling.  You listen for the Silence until the Love rushes in. And then the search never was.  There’s only ‘Him’, again. Every time you hear the Silence, even just a little bit,  (t)here’s only Love again.   I Love You,  I Am You, Nik

“We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of God. The world is crowded with him. He walks everywhere incognito.” -C.S. Lewis

“My world is just like yours. I see, I hear, I feel, I think, I speak and act in a world I perceive, just like you. But with you it is all, with me it is nothing. Knowing the world to be a part of myself, I pay it no more attention than you pay to the food you have eaten. While being prepared and eaten, the food is separate from you and your mind is on it; once swallowed, you become totally unconscious of it. I have eaten up the world and I need not think of it any more.” – Nisargadatta Maharaj

“We are the sons of light and love, the sons of God, His children. As such we must have His qualities and His attributes of love, peace, and kindness towards all.” – Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica

“Jesus said, “If they ask you, ‘Where do you come from?’ tell them, ‘We’ve come from the light, the place where light came into being by itself, [established] itself, and appeared in their image!’

“If they ask you, ‘Is it you?’ then say, ‘We are its children, and we’re chosen by our living Father.’

“If they ask you, ‘What’s the sign of your Father in you?’ then say, ‘It’s movement and rest.!” –  Gospel of Thomas, Sayings of Jesus

“When we meditate, then our work happens easily. People are unaware of this secret. They think why to spend 20 – 30 minutes meditating, when that time can be spent to earn them money.” -Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar

“Suddenly a small child ran across the road and the driver pulled the reins to stop the horse just in time to save the child.

Maharaji said, “Like that”, pointing to the driver holding the reins. “As the mind will travel here, there, and all directions, you should always try to pull it to one point.

You should center it with continuous practice, then automatically it will go to the one point on which you want to meditate. Ultimately, after years, the mind becomes quiet.” – Miracles of Love, Neem Karoli Baba

“Focus on Jesus, not the storm

Focus on Jesus, not he anxiety

Focus on Jesus, not the pain

Focus on Jesus, not the struggle.” -@daily_bibleverses

“The soul should always stand ajar, ready to welcome the ecstatic experience.”

-Emily dickinson
