This week we are talking motherhood and how it ain’t always an easy process. None of the ladies are mothers (yet 👀), but we have questions! We are joined this week by Meshellia Hayward who helps us to understand this motherhood process. She is a mother, family nurse practitioner, and Jawanda’s sister. We invited Meshellia on to discuss her journey to motherhood, PCOS, infertility, and to explain what exactly a geriatric pregnancy is! The conversation covers the differences between PCOS and ovarian cysts, the use of medication like metformin for PCOS, and the impact of birth control on PCOS symptoms. The ladies discuss the effects of birth control on weight and body changes, the decision to get off birth control and try to get pregnant, and the option of freezing eggs for future pregnancies. I mean the ladies are only in their 30s, are they considered geriatric?!
