After a year and a half of the pandemic, ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, Marvel’s first blockbuster film to feature an Asian American superhero did big numbers at the box office. This is from the same country where politicians were calling the COVID-19 virus the “China Flu”, and we had a spate of violent crimes targeting Asian-Americans.
