The War Against the Soul

As God’s people, believers have been set aside as being different from everyone else. Our faith in Christ makes us stand out from the common people; it also draws hostility from a world that gives no regard for God. We’re spirits possessing souls, which are where our thoughts and emotions live; in light of this, it’s imperative that we carefully monitor who is influencing our thought lives: Satan rules the world, and his strategy is to invade our minds by ensnaring us in worldly things. By remaining strangers to the things the world considers home, we allow the Holy Spirit to keep us safe from danger.
