She was a tenured professor at MIT. She didn’t cite Wikipedia because it was against school policy to use it as a source. She admitted she was wrong. Her husband went on a Twitter rant (5139 word tweet) protecting his wife questioning if one could even plagiarize wiki. He said it was unfair to raise questions about a dissertation written in 2009 even though Claudine Gay’s thesis was written in the 90’s
