The Mysterious Death of Jelani Day

25-year old Grad Student Jelani Day was reported missing on August 25th 2021 after he failed to show up to class, a meeting, and remained unreachable to his family.  His loved ones knew this was very unlike Jelani to not be in contact with anyone or handle his responsibilities. But a little over a week later into the searches for him Jelani’s body was discovered in the Illinois River… 60 miles away from his campus. His family continues to fight for answers regarding his death.  #WhatHappenedtoJelaniDay
