Legacy Home Loans, the nation’s largest black-led mortgage company just released a program that will provide 1% down payments specifically to black homebuyers. This is a historic program and it’s only right that we hear about it from them directly. 

This interview with Nick Gouché, Senior Vice President and cofounder of Legacy Home Loans was monumental. Nick has been named as a top %1 Mortgage Professional multiple times. 

Nick co founded the company in 2019 with Ben Slayton, who became the first black realtor in America in 1964. The company has funded over $650 million in mortgages and their goal is to fund $1 billion by 2023, then $1 billion each year after that.

2. You must live within a certain zip code to participate in the program and you can buy a home locally or in another city 
3. Legacy Home Loans has helped over 3,000 families buy homes through various programs with no foreclosures. 78% of their loans have been to black borrowers.
