During His earthly ministry, Jesus prophesied that the approaching end days would be marked by numerous natural disasters as well as immoral and ungodly behavior. We are seeing this right now. One of the biggest indicators is children’s disrespectful and dishonorable attitude toward their parents. God is serious about His instructions to children to obey, honor, and respect their parents; children who fail to do this will suffer the consequences. Over and over again in both the Old and New Testaments we see the commands to love and honor our parents because this is part of God’s moral law. We all have a choice to make, and the stakes are high; we can either base the relationship we have with our parents on the Word of God, or on the words of the world.
