Supreme Court’s response to new Trump filing will impact timing of his Jan 6 prosecution as he seeks trial delay

Deep into the 2024 campaign, any one of Trump’s trials could actually be he a break glass in case of emergency kind of moment and could change the course of this election. Donald Trump’s strategy on the case of immunity is claiming that a months-long trial will make it harder for him to campaign. The fight over Trump’s immunity, or frankly, lack thereof, has already prompted District Judge Tanya Chutkan to postpone a trial date that was previously set for March 4th. Coincidentally, or perhaps not, the day before Super Tuesday.
