I have lived in the South most of my life. The food, the soil, the music, the accents, the air here is home to me. Southern hip hop gave me language for so much of what I experienced so I am excited to chat with Dr. Regina Bradley, a southern hip hop scholar and author of Chronicling Stankonia: The Rise of the Hip Hop South.
