Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (Feat. Jenn from My Streaming Bubble) Ep. 203 podcast
In this episode (Ess, Eff, Aye – Survive, Forgive, Advance), I continue my conversation with Aubrey as we discuss tough moments in his marriage and forward together.
We talk about the idea of failing fast and cancel-culture, especially when it comes to dating. We discuss the importance of boundaries, understanding them, and holding fast to them. We unpack the importance of communication in a relationship, highlighting the process of having tough conversations with your partner on big life decisions (i.e., timing for children, the number of kids, buying a house). Aubrey speaks on his family’s fertility journey and emphasizes the need for both parties to take the steps to understand their fertility status. Aubrey shares his secret to marriage, which includes surviving the tough moments, forgiving in those situations, and advancing forward. He also gives his perspective on leadership and sentiments that come with punching above or below your weight. We also spend time acknowledging the importance of knowing yourself, knowing your partner, how to handle them, and what is required in doing that – mutual respect and trust.
