McConaughey Makes Emotional Plea After Massacre In Hometown

Actor and Uvalde native Matthew McConaughey makes an emotional plea at the White House for bipartisan action on guns, but some conservative Senate Republicans are publicly rejecting a provision that would incentivize states to enact red flag laws. Bill Avera is a Texas police chief who oversees a police force just like the Uvalde school district. As Texas officials remain silent, he tells Laura why he thinks there’s a delay in getting answers about the police response and accountability for the decisions made during the Robb Elementary School shooting.

Plus, the DHS issues a warning of heightened extremist domestic threats due to misinformation, potential violence around the SCOTUS abortion ruling and online forums encouraging Uvalde copycat attacks.
