In celebration of Black History Month, Afros & Audio Podcast Festival founder and CEO Talib Jasir interviews independent podcast creator, Victor Jones of ‘Liquor Talk Podcast’.
Victor shares his journey from being a college graduate looking for a platform to speak his mind to becoming a successful podcaster. He shares his unique approach to selecting topics for each episode based on trending topics and current issues in the black community.
He discusses the importance of supporting others and providing a platform for different perspectives, which has made his podcast a space for over a hundred Black content creators.
Victor also provides advice to new podcast hosts about the commitment it takes to sustain a podcast and shares future plans of increasing audience engagement through live broadcasts on Instagram and Twitch.
