Bio: 
Jamika Welch is no novice to the microphone. A Peoria native, this singer songwriter has left an indelible thumbprint on the pulse of music: and she is just getting started. Jamika started writing in 2013 but has been singing and performing since the age of eight.

Jamika understood, at an early age, her passion for singing and performing was more than just a passing craze. She began honing her craft as a young child and remains both a teacher and student to this day. Although her heart beats for Gospel music, Jamika’s musical influences include choral, jazz, R&B, and musical theater as well. With nearly flawless intonation, accuracy, and pure feeling, Jamika grabs you with the first note and takes you the full length of the journey.

Jamika considers her music to be ‘Inspirational gospel’, which she defines as “melodic sounds meant to uplift, encourage, and minister to the hearts of people”. Her songs are birthed out of her personal experiences and how they have correlated with her relationship with God. Because of her diverse musical background, her debut album promises to have a little something for everyone.
