I Don’t Dream of Labor…Trend or Reality?

This week we discuss the “I don’t dream of labor” trend and the transition some women have made from traditional jobs to more creative jobs. While work is work, is it more fulfilling to make money doing what you love, or should the hobby and the work be two separate things?

We get into American exceptionalism, hustle culture and the pressures to constantly be doing something, anything as long as it seems to be productive. Is it time we break out of the “booked and busy” phase and lean into a life of ease, freedom to rest, and the luxury to indulge in self care?
