This episode with Daron Campbell was powerful! Daron started his career as a Real Estate Agent in 1992 and is currently in the top 1% of agents nationwide. He has closed over $4 billion in real estate transactions. The turning point for Daron was when he was working in fundraising at UCLA and discovered that most of the donors built their wealth through real estate. One of them encouraged him to get his real estate license and the rest was history.
Daron wrote 180 offers in his first year as an agent and closed 11 transactions. He routinely spent 8+hours per day making cold calls. After helping so many clients build wealth, Daron decided to start investing. He negotiated a seller finance deal for 16 units using the education he got as an agent. Daron went on to flip over 100 properties, own 800+ units and is currently Managing Partner at Globl Red, a private real estate firm.
In this episode we discuss becoming a top Real Estate Agent, creative investing, how he built his real estate business and more.
Highlights
1) Perseverance is important in this business. Daron wrote 180 offers in his first year as an agent and closed 11 transactions. The relationships and skills he built during that year helped him take his career to the next level.
2) If you don’t have all of the money to close a deal, consider using seller financing if the seller is open to it.
3) One of the keys to building wealth is finding a niche and focusing on one thing. Master one thing, then you can expand once you’ve developed that expertise.
