A Is For Activism podcast
If you're a regular supporter of this podcast then you'll know how much Charlie MaSheen has mentioned the name Lee Boy and his lyrical ability. If you're just becoming acquainted to this MA music scene you may not be privy to the name but if you knew anything about Boston and the music scene prior to 2015 then you would know that Life 4 Life Records/Phastlife/Dukati Gang has been a driving force in Hip-Hop and the Lee Brothers steered that vehicle into an internationally known name. 2 of said brothers, Lee Boy and Mumz, have joined us this week along with their long time collaborator Norfsyde Slee, and the newest rapper on their team, Lil Roc: the son of their late brother Roc Dukati. This was something that's been in the works for a while now to say the least.
While Mumz and Norfsyde Slee never really took a break from music, Lee Boy separated himself from the scene while becoming a father within the past few years and still contributed to the culture while fully supporting his big brother Smoke Bulga, who recently signed a deal with Rick Ross's MMG imprint. A recent single by Mumz featuring Lee Boy titled "Letter 2 You" seemingly took Lee Boy out of retirement and led up to this sit down which should come as a breath of fresh air to all the Boston Hip-Hop enthusiasts. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they host Dukati Gang and go over some of the history of the team, the legacy of Roc Dukati and what that means for his son's rap career, whats next for all the artists, AND SO MUCH MORE! DON'T FORGOT TO TAP IN WITH AN INCREDIBLE #RedCupsAndRap FREESTYLE TO CLOSE IT OUT!!!
