Episode 90: “Sounds Expensive” (w/ Dutchy DoBad)

Just short of a decade ago the Boston/MA music scene was lucky enough to get blessed with a few new sounds that grabbed the attention of the streets. Amongst those talents, one name who stood out with his distinct voice and melodic cadence is the Hyde Park bred, Fields Corner/Strip Life repping Dutchy DoBad! We have definitely been meaning to have a sit down with the "Fake Love" artist for some time now and we finally got a chance to have him share some of his story. Since hearing him for the first time on his 2013 anthem "Round The Way", there was no denying that Dutchy is special and deserves to be kept on repeat!

With the respect he's earned as an artist and the support he's gotten from his fans and the streets, Dutchy DoBad also had a few legal set backs that held him back from reaching his full potential musically. However, even with him on a vacation for a little while his name was kept in rotation by his brothers and fellow rappers Cash Gotti and Prince Smooth (who we've interviewed on episode 53) on records and a simple Free Dutchy DoBad campaign. Now that the worst is behind him, Dutchy is back, better than ever, and ready to deliver some of his best work yet. With his recent EP "Free Yola" he gave his listeners 7 solid records which all sounded like hits. He figured out a way to make you listen and still want to dance, while wrapping it up with some personal accords on "Benny Blanco" which he describes as an autobiography. Needless to say, we were very excited for this sit down and just as excited for what's next for Dutchy DoBad!
