You’ve fallen in love with the sweet, sweet old man he’s become. And you’ve fallen in love with my mom, who is his caretaker and is LITERALLY living out her vows every. single. day.

Many of you love this version of my dad, and I realized it’s the only version of my dad that you know. 

But for the majority of my life, the version of my father that I had, you don’t know. And I actually have kind of forgotten about that version myself.
