Some people outside of the commonwealth may not know much about the Boston Rap/Hip-Hop scene but they might know the name Leedz Edutainment and the venue “The Middle East” in Cambridge. There was a time when those two names went hand in hand. For about 20yrs Ned “Leedz” Wellbery basically owned all the major rap events that were taken place at that iconic landmark and brought out some of Rap’s biggest names to come rock the crowd. When you’re the face of anything, however, EVERYONE is going to have something to say about how you do things; even people like our hosts Charlie MaSheen & Kash. If you’ve followed our podcast its not a surprise that we’ve mentioned Leedz multiple times prior and the “pay to play” show structure— and how strongly against it we stood. At last we had the opportunity to put it all on the table and talk about it like men.
