Episode 134: “Hart Made of Base” (w/ Fuego Base of BSF Records)

Like many metropolitan cities throughout the country, Hartford, Connecticut has a drastic duality to its identity. While some from affluent spaces view the 18 square mile city as the nation’s insurance capital, there is a grungier side to Hartford—the side that if you’re not from there, you don’t go there. Fuego Base, one of the newest signees to Benny The Butcher’s BSF Records is from that side of town. Within the past 3 years the lyrical and very street oriented MC has really made a name for himself on a national level and with his newly found platform, the game is his for the taking. With a slew of EPs and mixtapes including his most recent “Say Dat Again” and an assortment of freestyles on various platforms, Fuego Base has confidently proved that he can rap at a high level with some of the best of them—which is why we took a liking to his music, and now his story. We’ve been lucky enough to get Base to pull up on us as Charlie MaSheen & KASH hosts the “Tell My Momma Im a Rapper” creator.
