This episode with Ibrahim Badmus was inspiring! After playing college basketball at Bucknell and playing professionally, he got his first job managing a sports complex. The turning point in his career was when he got connected to an entrepreneur who wanted to develop a sports facility. He was brand new, but after being trained, he planned out the entire development project.
His first project was in Pennsylvania and he leveraged that opportunity for his next one, which was a sports complex in Dallas with a former NBA player. The complex in Texas was 120,000 square feet and the one in Pennsylvania was 70,000 square feet.
In this episode we discuss how sports facilities make money, how to determine the right location, financing these deals and more. Developing a sports complex is a topic we’ve never covered, so you’re in for a treat!
