Everyone’s favorite once politically incorrect former NBA star and broadcaster Charles Barkley has now transitioned into a rainbow flag-waving, MAGA-hating pawn for the Democratic Party he once despised. What happened? Just like Jason broke Stephen A. Smith, it’s clear that Donald Trump broke Barkley. This week, sitting alongside fellow black gatekeeper and CNN co-host Gayle King, Barkley threatened to beat up any black person he spotted wearing a T-shirt with Trump’s mug shot. During a stump speech, Trump bragged that black voters found him relatable and likeable because the criminal justice system was being used unfairly to punish him. Many black pundits have pretended that Trump committed a great racial offense analogizing himself to black people. Sir Charles appears to be the lone pundit to threaten violence over it.
