The eldest statesman of the show, Skip Bayless, flipped out over Dan Lanning’s pregame and halftime speeches and play-calling, ordaining them “venomous vengeance.” Not to be outdone, ESPN’s Ryan Clark took to the airwaves to underscore the character of Deion Sanders, branding him as a selfless coach who only peddles positivity, unlike the Ducks’ Lanning. Maybe all the media messaging wouldn’t be so overwhelming if those priming the news cycle didn’t suffer from the same hubris disorder as Deion.
