279: How to Build an Online Community You Actually Own w/ D’Angelo Senat podcast
Hey!!!! Welcome, Welcome, Welcome To BLACK TO THE FUTURE PODCAST! We are so pleased you could join us here today! On this podcast we will discussing various topics through a Black, Queer, Feminist Lens. Our goal is elevate, educate, and empower those of us in the Black Queer community, and also to help our supporters and allies to become more knowledgeable about what we need as far as support!
On this episode Mikey conducts a panel consisting of three Black, Queer men! We firstly have Gary Stallings Jr. who is a motivational speaker and community connector. He hosts the podcast “Black Boy Blitz” where he discusses topics surrounding the experience of being a Black and/or Brown man in America. In addition to that, we have the return of Javionn Malakhi, who was guest on the podcast previously (Ep #25). He is a social media self-care guru who focuses on the concept of wellness and how that shows up for different people in the world. The final member of the panel is Randy Faciane-Robinson, who is a singer and a well seasoned chef, who uses his platforms to show people that Black, Queer men can find love and are deserving of it.
This panel discusses the ideas of what it means to be Black, Queer man – what’s expected of you versus the reality of what it really is. This group tackles the idea of masculinity, religion, and of course mental health; all of which greatly impact the lives of Black, Queer men. There are some amazing moments in the episode that are so insightful and profound. Please enjoy and interact with our panelists!
