U.S. Black Maternal Child Health rates and outcomes are some of the worst in the developed world.  But Doulas, a group of trained specialists are revolutionizing Black motherhood by helping mothers and their unborn babies come into the world stress free and loved.   Join me as I talk with Karma Tudor, an experienced doula from Mama Glow as she informs us on the wonders of getting a doula.

Think of Doulas like your superhero Xena Princess warrior who goes to bat for you when you need it most.  She or He is there to advocate for you and your baby pre-delivery, during delivery and even post-partum. Tune in to find out how this new shift in how we serve and care for Black Moms and babies is transforming the health of our sisters. Too many Black women are dying in pregnancy and childbirth. Black women in the United States are more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth than women in any other race.  Doulas are here to help change that stat.
