These Proverbs tell us to pay close attention to what is happening. To be aware of the actions of others and also the actions of ourselves. We can feel the nurturing tone Solomon uses to fore-warn us of the transgressions of the world. He wants to prepare us for the struggle we all must go through.
God wants all to listen to His words and live by them. Our job as servants is to show His people that He is the way, truth, and life. God wants to save us because He already knows what we fight.
