We learn several critical lessons in 2 Kings 20. I want to point out two:

1. The warning Hezekiah received from Isaiah to ‘get his house in order’ did not mean he could beseech the Lord.
2. Do not reveal or boast about the treasures given by God.

Illness does not have the final say. We can view illness as Hezekiah did and repent. Seeking the Lord and crying out to Him may have been the purpose. To get one to focus on the work of the Lord.
