Go Big Or Go Home – 11.27.25 podcast
Kevin Sipp from the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs talks with Studio Noize about the interaction between government and working artists. Kevin gives us a lesson on the history of the City of Atlanta’s support of the arts and moment in his long career as an artist, curator, and historian working with Atlanta’s cornerstone institutions for the arts. Such as Hammonds House and the AUC Center. Kevin gives us some great insights into the new wave of arts organizations and how we need to work together to continue to improve the environment for arts in Atlanta and beyond. Special Guest co-host Lauren Jackson Harris.
Kevin Sipp is a fine artist, independent scholar, and curator with expertise in printmaking, painting, sculpture and multi-media installation. He has over 20 years of experience creating functional resources and spaces for visual artists and community – based artists in all disciplines, including cultural workers and arts supporters, in metro Atlanta, Southeast region and nationally. A Florida native, he has lived and worked in Georgia since the early 90’s where he received a BA in Printmaking from the Atlanta College of Art. Kevin works as the project supervisor for the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
