Concerns about Colorado ahead of Week 1

podcast August 25, 2023

Background

With the season about a week away there are still concerns about Colorado’s offensive line. I break down why it is important they improve and are able to adequately protect Shedeur Sanders, who doesn’t have any experience behind him. I go over why there are concerns about the offensive line, break down both their pass blocking grade and run blocking grade from this past season while also going over where they ranked nationally. I also explain that while they did struggle there is room for improvement, but it is still fair to have concerns.

12:55 Travis Hunter continues to generate a ton of hype ahead of the 2023 season, as he was named to the AP Preseason All-American team as an All purpose player. I break down just how good he can be, and why his success will help the program for years to come in recruiting, and attracting other top talents.

18:06 Lastly, we dive into the comments made by Matt Rhule about Deion Sanders. While they may coach at rival schools, Rhule recognizes that what Deion Sanders is doing is good for college football. I explain why its a good thing for a fellow coach to highlight the positives that Sanders is doing, while others have been taking shots.
