Ep 820: End of an Era podcast
A man who allegedly told police he mistook his girlfriend for a burglar after shooting her to death has been charged with manslaughter. Bobby Wolfe is being held on $500,000 bail in the shooting death of 23-year-old Chrisheena Lee. Prosecutors asked for a much lower bond of $75,000, but on Tuesday, Judge Joy Thomas decided it was in the best interest of public safety to make it much more difficult for Wolfe to get out of jail. Wolfe’s public defender revealed he does not have any prior felony convictions or a documented history of violence. She also said he is unemployed but has two children who depend on him. Chrisheena Lee’s family said that Wolfe, a former football player at the University of Arizona, and she have a 2-year-old child together. Fortunately, the child was with another relative at the time of the shooting. (Source: ABC13)
