So, let’s talk about the journey of getting to 400 episodes—how it started, the lessons I’ve learned, and what the future holds for this platform…
What began as a small passion project of a medical student has now become an incredible milestone—we’re in our 400th episode!
This is such a remarkable feat for me, because 90% of the podcasts out there stop publishing after their first three episodes, and of the remaining 10% that get past it, 90% stop at 20. Yet, here we are, at our 400th—a milestone I couldn’t have reached without your unwavering support.
But in a world flooded with struggling podcasters and hundreds of thousands of podcasts, how have I stayed committed for nearly a decade, creating and sharing life-changing insights every single week?
In this episode, we’ll answer all that as we reflect on the journey that led us to this remarkable day. So, whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just tuned in recently, join me as we celebrate this milestone and pursue our passions relentlessly.
Why you need to check this episode:
-Learn what’s made it possible for us to reach the incredible milestone of having 400 episodes; -Understand the importance of consistency and passion when doing something that you wish to stand out on; -Get to know the reason why I’m still doing podcasting even after reaching its 400th episode; and -Discover the plans we have for the future of the podcast as we continue with the mission to help you think like a doctor and empower yourself for better health.
“If you’re an aspiring podcaster or someone who wants to get out there, understand that those are probably going to be your two biggest driving forces in the beginning…The consistency has got to be there…The passion has got to be there. Because if you’re not a celebrity, there’s not a lot of people who are going to know who you are or what you’re talking about in the beginning…So yes, you’re going to be in the sea of podcasts that are out there, but what’s going to help differentiate you and help you stand out is that you’re going to keep on going.” – Dr. Berry Pierre
Notable Quotes:
“This is what makes the 400th episode so important—90% of podcasts don’t publish after three episodes…[and] of the remaining 10%, 90% quit after 20 episodes…So, think about the outlier that you would have to be just to make it to episodes 21, 31, 40, 100, 200, and where we’re at today—400. Think about what it takes to be consistent, especially from a podcast perspective.” – Dr. Berry Pierre
“I know that [the podcast] has saved lives, and that’s the beauty. I don’t know all of the lives I saved; I just know that I have a voice, and in this profession of medicine, you do things because you want to change and you want to help foster positive change—and I know I’ve done that over these…past decade of podcasting…There’s so much content out there because I know there’s so much lives that need to be changed.” – Dr. Berry Pierre
