Michelle Rice, a 16-year veteran of TV One and CLEO TV, was recently named President. In this role, Rice is responsible for leading all business, operational and creative aspects of the network.
Prior to her promotion, Rice served as the Executive Vice President of Content Distribution and Marketing for TV One, where she developed distribution strategy and managed national account negotiations with all of the major multichannel video programming distributors (MPVDs) to increase and maximize the network's content distribution opportunities on mobile, linear and non-linear distribution platforms. She also led domestic and international program sales and distribution for the network.
A graduate of Temple University and the University of Southern California, Rice has been named on CobleFAX’s Top Minorities in Cable and Top Women in Cable. She’s also been recognized as a NAMIC Emerging Leader, Broadcasting & Cable’s “Next Wave of Leaders,“ "40 under 40” by Multichannel News, and one of Multichannel News’ Wonder Women.
