FOLLOW ALONG AS WE COVER:

(4:19) – Jill Stein announced that she would seek the Green Party nomination for the second time. Stein’s case for her candidacy, as she tells it, is to “offer a choice for the people outside the failed two-party system.” Stein’s abrupt relaunch into presidential politics comes weeks after Cornel West, a leading academic and progressive activist, decided to run as an independent after formerly campaigning with the Green Party.

(8:47) – Judge Ural Granville granted prosecutors the right to present a collective of Young Thug’s rap lyrics in the trial against him and his YSL (Young Slime Life) associates amid their controversial RICO case. While Young Thug’s defense team assured that the singles were only done in an artistically-driven manner, the court settled unfavorably, reportedly citing that their stance was “ridiculous.” Rapper Meek Mill said: “Locking us [up] for rapping got me scared to do [an] interview. Free Jeff. Free Lucci.”

(17:15) – Now it’s time for Bringing Up Old Ish, with Conscious Lee. Dr. Calvin Lee and the Trick of Time

(21:59) – Coming up this hour…. Our new segment, Am I Trippin’… I’m pretty good at giving advice, and I’ve got some for you today. Hey ya!!! The Big Up Let Down involves an André 3000 and a flute.

(24:56) – Am I Trippin? Every day we all have those moments that make us double take, scratch our chins, and ask ourselves, am I trippin? Well, when you do, send us a DM @SealesSaidIt and tell us about your dilemma, and I’ll weigh in on whether you’re tripping like Ella Mai or somebody playing in your face. TODAY’S DILEMMA: My best friend has been dating this guy for about 6-7 months now, and it’s been clear that she isn’t into him like he’s into her. He’s not a bad guy or anything, but from what she says, he’s just not keeping her attention. I think it’s partially because her ex spun the block recently to holla, but that’s a whole other story. Anyways, she decided to just break up with her current boyfriend about 2 weeks ago, and I ran into him at a mutual friend’s party. He was clearly still upset and literally was crying on the balcony asking if there was anything I could do to help him save the relationship. I do feel bad for him, but I’m not trying to be in my friend’s relationship drama. Am I right for staying out of it, or am I tripping?

(26:30) – It’s The Amanda Seales Show… I’m Amanda Seales… Last break we introduced a new segment called “Am I Trippin?” where I weigh in on the dilemmas that have you conflicted. Today’s question came in anonymously from a friend conflicted on whether they should get involved with their best friend’s relationship after her ex was asking for help getting back together. They don’t want to but feel bad for the guy. Here are my thoughts:

(29:17) – Big Up – shout out to André 3000! Announced a debut solo album titled “New Blue Sun”. A couple of titles of tracks on the album: Dreams Once Buried Beneath The Dungeon Floor Slowly Sprout Into Undying Gardens; That Night In Hawaii When I Turned Into A Panther And Started Making These Low Register Purring Tones That I Couldn’t Control … S*** Was Wild. On this album, he is reintroducing himself as a flutist. Let Down – WAIT WHAT?! HE’S PLAYING FLUTE AND NOT RAPPING?! I CHANGED MY MIND; THIS IS A LET DOWN.

(54:16) – Politicians say the darnedest things. During a hearing of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.. Senator Markwayne Mullin (46) challenged Teamsters President Sean O’Brien to a fight.
