Ophelia Bakon is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker and fashionista and is the co-owner of Nouveau Fashion Gallery, a boutique located in Boston’s exclusive Copley Place Mall. Born in rural Georgia in 1947, Ophelia is the fifth of six children and often accompanied her siblings
to the cotton fields in her hometown of Covington, until the family relocated to Massachusetts
in 1959. Although poor, she was rich in thought and dreamed big attributing her ambition and subsequent success to her sister Fannie. While she currently lives a fabulous life, this divorced mother of three sons, has endured much including domestic violence, a near death experience and the loss of a child. Luckily, Ophelia tapped into her inner strength, recognized her spiritual power and took control of her life.
