The State Department warns U.S. citizens in Iran: anti-government protests have claimed over 600 lives, with security crackdowns, internet blackouts, and suspended flights raging across the country. Americans were urged to “leave Iran immediately,” via commercial or land routes like Turkey or Armenia, with the U.S. embassy stressing limited consular assistance and emphasizing the danger of arbitrary arrest—especially for U.S.–Iran dual nationals.
