In this episode (Your joy is your responsibility), I begin my conversation with LaDarius as we tackle how he faced his history, created boundaries, and found happiness as he pursued his now-wife for marriage.

We discuss the importance of maintaining boundaries when dating and while trying to grow a deeper relationship with Christ. We talk about navigating our personal history, more specifically, his wounds from his mother and how it’s part of the preparation process. We unpack his realization during a period of time when he wasn’t making the best decisions for himself and the effects of placing blame on others when you’re getting what you want. We dissect his mindset shift required to maintain his joy. We also explore the need to acknowledge and be present in your partner’s feelings when you are working to achieve your personal goals as well as the things you want for your relationship. We touch on the challenges of being an influencer and entrepreneur while maintaining a marriage.
