Trump’s 187 minutes of inaction during Capitol riot to be investigated

The eighth January 6 public hearing will focus on Trump’s 187 minutes of radio silence as the Capitol was attacked. Former senior investigator for the House Select Committee John Wood joins to discuss the impact he thinks the hearings will have on the midterms, how they are playing out inside Trump world and why the Committee took so long to cooperate with the DOJ.

Rioter Stephen Ayres apologizes to officers for his role in the insurrection, telling lawmakers he regrets being duped by the former president’s lies of election fraud. Former DC officer Michael Fanone, who suffered life-changing injuries defending the Capitol, joins to give his reaction. Plus, Trump tried to call a member of the White House support staff talking with January 6 committee, and President Biden says he ”wouldn’t be disappointed” in a 2024 Trump rematch.
