Growing up working in his grandparents’ iconic restaurant in the Central District, Terrell witnessed firsthand the impact of displacement on Black-owned businesses. After the original Catfish Corner closed many years back, Terrell embarked on a mission to bring it back and do it for future generations.
From his early entrepreneurial beginnings of running pop-ups, temporary brick & mortar’s and consistent efforts, he was eventually able to reopen ‘Jackson’s Catfish Corner’, bringing it back home to the legendary 23rd & Jackson section of the Central District.
