Will Deion Sanders build a recruiting juggernaut?

Much of the attention that Deion Sanders and Colorado have gotten is because of the way that they are using the transfer portal. However, what many people seem to be forgetting is that Sanders assembled a top-20 recruiting class in about a week or so. With a full year to address recruiting combined with the fact he has an elite staff of recruiters, there is potential for even more success. That is why on today’s episode, I had recruiting insider Brian Smith join the show. Brian is not new to the recruiting world and also happens to be from Florida, which is where Sanders wants to nab talent. He breaks down Sanders’ efforts and the overall view by recruits of he and Colorado.

7:50 Being that Brian is a Florida native, means that he is familiar with pretty much all of the recruits that Deion Sanders and the Buffs are after. He provides updates on a trio of four-stars in Cai Bates, Zavier Mincey, and of course Boo Carter. He explains what Colorado needs to do to secure each and everyone of these recruits, and also explains what it takes to impress Florida recruits in particular.

16:50 Lastly, myself and Brian dive into what recruits Buffs fans should look out for that haven’t been tied to Colorado yet or their recruitment is just picking up. Being that there is so much mystery around Deion and Colorado, Brian explains that the Buffs will have plenty of chances to stun some people. He also explains how high school coaches and recruits view the program and their usage of the transfer portal.
