161. PRINCESS OF ZAMUNDA podcast
As the daughter of an Air Force service member, the military community was a way of life for Cat Corchado. After becoming a single mom, Cat began her journey in the Air Force communication career field. While oftentimes finding herself as the only woman and minority, she quickly became recognized as someone that took care of business and could hold her own. Upon retiring after 20 years of service, Cat found herself in a civilian society that not only didn’t understand, but failed to acknowledge her dedicated military service.
To further shine a light on women veterans and their experiences, Cat now hosts the Sisters-in- Service podcast. Listen in as Cat shares how she reclaimed her veteran status and now provides a safe space for other women veterans to do the same through her tireless work with the Women Veterans Network (WOVEN).
